Joshua Taylor http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00006.html#0001358 and Elizabeth Burns July 17, 2005, 2:47 pm Arizona Republican-May. 10, 1901 JOHN FELTON May 10, 1901 Mrs. Maud Felton, the wife of the man who died on the Maricopa and Phoenix train last Tuesday morning, arrived yesterday morning from her home in San Bernardino. She had not learned of her husband's death until after her arrival in the city. She was not sure, in fact, that he was here at all. She said he left home more than two weeks ago without a definite object in view but intended to come to Phoenix. She had a letter from him after his arrival in the city but had not heard from him for ten days. She was more alarmed at his silence because of his ill health, so she started out to find him. Felton, during his stay here, stopped at the Ford Hotel. He started home last Monday night, but before reaching Maricopa discovered that he had lost his ticket to San Bernardino. That night he was taken violently ill at the Williams house and the next morning he started back to Phoenix, intending to go to a hospital. Death overtook him before he reached the city. There was nothing about him by which he name could be ascertained. The next morning his baggage was brought back from Maricopa. It contained a single letter from a man named Maybury of San Bernardino, introducing the bearer, John Felton to Billy Mead.
