The unusual spectacle of a Chinese funeral was an 
attraction at Chinatown yestrday. Ling Fong, the 
dead man was a prominent Celestial.  The funeral 
ceremonies lasted from 10:30 o'clock until noon,and 
were accompanied by the burning of many tapers and 
much punk, in order that the devils be effectually 
kept away.
