The deceased was 69 years of age and an early pioneer of Arizona, coming to Tucson in 1861 with Phillip Drachman engaged in the merchandising business on the north east corner of Main and Congress Streets, where they met with success for several years. Later the deceased engaged in the freighting business; in this he lost from Apache Indian depredations and later the tide of fortune seemed to be against him, but for all that Isaac Goldberg was an Arizona pioneer who did much for the early development of the territory.
