Dick Jenkins, a cattleman and John McGee, cook for the round-up party concluded to settle their difficulties with guns. Jenkins was hit twice, once in the arm and once in the body, and died the following day. Robert Thomas, captain of the round-up who attempted to stop the fight was shot in the leg, necessitating amputation.
