Salvas Mirandez, a well known young Mexican of this city, was thrown from his horse when leaving the Five points store about eight o'clock. The man was rendered unconscious by the fall and was picked up by his companions and brought to the doctor's office as rapidly as possible. Examination revealed that he had suffered a fracture of the skull at the base of the brain and it was realized from the nature of the injury that it was impossible to do anything to save the life of the injured man. He died at midnight without regaining consciousness. He was unmarried and is survived by a mother and three brothers.
