Horgan, corporal, Company C, 165th Infantry. For extraordinary heroism in action at Ferme de Meurky, near Villers-sur-Fere, France, July 31, 1918. After his platoon had moved from an open field to the cover of tries woods, Corpl. Morgan returned to the field under heavy machine-gun fire to. rescue a wounded comrade lying in an exposed position, and was killed by the side of the man he tried to save. Emergency address: J. C.
