Antonio Gewgendo, an Italian miner, was killed inthe Congress 
Mine on Monday morning. It was at first reorted that he had been 
buried in a cave-in but it was later leanred that while working 
on the 300foot level, he was hit on the head by a large rock, 
which fell from the top of the stope. He was taken to the 
hospital and died within a couple of hours. He was buried 
yesterday monring. He leaves a wife and one child.  Early 
in the summer he was taken ill and was brought to the 
hospital here. He returned to work two months ago. He 
was a member of the AOUW and had worked at varous mines 
in the territory for several years.
