HERR, child September 6, 1895 Arizona Republican Newspaper The little daughter of P.W. Herr, foreman of the converter furnace of the Jerome Mine, was burned to death a few days ago. While playing in the kitchen she upset a pan full of grease which caught fire from the stove and set her clothing on fire. The little child ran screaming through the house and the flames which enveloped her person set fire to some curtains and the whole building was soon in flames. The little sufferer was caught in her flight and the fire extinguished but the flames had done their deadly work and the child died the following morning. The house and contents were a total loss.
