MR. HINKLE Az Republican Newspaper, Phoneix June 25, 1893 A Prescott man who arrived in the city yesterday reported a terrible accident at Prescott last Tuesday night, resulting in the death of two persons, one a man named Hinkle who lived at Ash Fork and the other a woman of the town. During the night a lamp exploded in a room in which Hinkle, another man and the woman were. Whether they had been asleep or not is not known, but when the fire was discovered they were found insensible and were carried out. Neither Hinkle or the woman appeared to be badly burned, but Hinkle died soon after and the woman has died since. The other occupant was fearfully burned but it is thought he will recover. He had a wooden leg which caught fire and was blazing when he was found. Hinkle was well known in and about Phoenix.
