MRS. E.J. LONG Yavapai Co. Az Arizona Republican Newspaper Feb. 15, 1910 Word was received here yesterday morning of the death of Mrs. E.J. Lane at McCabe. Mrs. Lane is the mother of Mrs. William Strong of this place and Mrs. Strong has been with her mother for the past month. The deceased suffered from cancer and not a great while ago underwent several operations in Los Angeles. Upon returning to her home in McCabe, instead of improving, her health grew worse and it was not long until it became apparent that there was no hope of her recovery. It was then that Mrs. Strong was sent for. The deceased was well known to many Tempe people and was a member of the local Christian church. The funeral will be held tomorrow and Rev. W.H. Salyer, pastor of the church here has been requested to conduct the services, there being no pastor of that denomination in that vicinity. Rev. Salyer accordingly left for McCabe last night.
