JACK McNEFF July 8, 1896 Dispatches and letters from Fool's Gulch received yesterday and today, state that Joe Mathews and Jack McNeff clashed in a trivial dispute and in the trouble which followed the interchange of words, Mathews stabbed McNeff in the left breast, the knife going in to the hilt. Mathews was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Bowdre and is in jail at Congress.
