David E. Morgan Arizona Silver Belt April 16, 1896 David E. Morgan met a violent death at Stanton, Yavapai Co. April 5. The particulars are gleaned from the Journal Miner. Morgan was leading two mules to picket them when they took fright and ran. Morgan was unable to remove the stake rope which was wrapped around his arm, and was dragged along the boulder covered ground for a distance of 100 yards.
