C.E. EICHELBERGER Arizona Republican Newspaper June 8, 1897 When C.E. Eichelberger, the discoverer of the King of Arizona, left here some weeks ago for his old Pennsylvania home no one dreamed that visions of matrimony flitted through his brain yet it would seem that they nevertheless did, as the record of marriage licenses issued in Los Angles following: Charles Edward Eichelberger, a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Yuma Arizona, aged 39 and Margurita de la Ossa, a native of California and a resident of Los Angeles, aged 17. Miss Margaritea de la Ossa, he young lady of Mr. Eichelberger's choice is the daughter of Jose Dela Ossa of this place and is well known here, having attended the Yuma public schools year before last. She numbers her friends in her old Arizona home by the score, who join in congratulations. Mr. Eichelberger's friends also extend their heartiest congratulations and point to him as an illustration of the axiom that 'it never rains but it pours." Good fortune follows close upon the heels of good fortune and there is no telling what will happen to Eichelberger next.
