JIM BONNER June 19, 1914 Yuma Sentinel Yesterday morning at 10:05 o'clock Josephine Bonner shot to death with a pistol, Jim Bonner, her husband at the Bonner home three-fourths of a miles from town on West First Street. Immedieatly after the shooting the officers were summoned and Mrs. Bonner was arrested and landed in jail. The shooting was over the ownership of a few chickens. The inquest was held yesterday afternoon at the justice court rooms by Judge Jones, and the jury which was summoned returned a verdict tha the shooting was accidental. Mrs. Bonner is held to answer to the grand ury and will have her preliminary trial the first of next week. The two participants in the shooting were colored. The jury was: C.T. Cowell, James Neahr, Roy White, F.R. Hull, R.E. Martinez, W.W. Aune, J. Berry and U.S. Smith.
