Manuel Chavez, who murdered his wife at Buena Vista camp last week, 
an account of which appared in the Sun, was captured and lodged in 
Yuma jail.  District Attorney Kirby of San Diego County came here 
in response to a telegram notifying him of the murder's detention 
and yesterday Chavez was taken to Buena Vista for his preliminary 
examination.
