Yuma--Joseph Escalante, a Yuma Indian teacher at the Fort Yuma 
Indian School committed suicide by sending a bullet through 
his heart in his quarters on the school grounds today. He 
left a letter giving his reasons.  The Indians refuse to make 
it public until the inquest.
