PHILLIPS baby Yuma Sentinel July 17, 1914 The house of A.O. Phillips of Somerton burned to the ground Friday afternoon, cremating the baby girl which was at that time in the house. At the time of the fire, Mr. Philips was in Somerton and Mrs. Phillips with the two older girls in the field. The baby was in the house under the care of the two younger sisters when the fire occurred and they were not large enough to carry out the baby. Mr. Phillips was the former mail carrier between Yuma and Somerton. At the time of her death, the baby was five months old. The Phillips family has the sympathy of the entire valley.
