ALBERTO PRECIADO November 30, 1897 Arizona Republican Newspaper Alberto Preciado, whose parents own a milk ranch ten miles south of town, met with an accidental death at the hands of his older brother last Wednesday afternoon. Alberto had been practicing with a target rifle and got a cartridge stuck in the chamber so that it would neither come in nor go out. His brother, Jose, took the gun remarking that he knew how to get it out. The younger brother laid down on a bed nearby and had barely done so when the gun in the hands of Jose weas accidentally discharged and the bullit pierced Alberto's heart. The coroner's jury found in accordance with the above.
