Gauthier, Leon Francis in Oakland, November 17, 1966, beloved husband of Mrs 
Thelma Gauthier of 4427 Sargent Ave., Castro Valley; devoted father of Neil W 
Gauthier of Newark; loving brother of Mrs Mary Evans of Castro Valley, Mrs 
Henry Thrope of Sacramento; idolized grandfather of Mrs Duetta Atherton of 
Hayward, Robert, Ronald, Rosemary, Peggy, Lori and Sally Gauthier, all of 
Newark; also survived by two great grandchildren. A native of California; aged 
73 years. A member of American and the Alameda County Employees Association. 
Friends are invited to attend the services at the Chapel of the Valley, 20359 
Lake Cabot Rd, Castro Valley, Monday, November 21st at 2 pm. Rev. Sherwood 
Dally of the Castro Valley Methodist Church officiating. Entombment , Chapel of 
the Chimes Memorial Park, Hayward.

Leon Gauthier Is Dead at 73

Funeral services were conducted recently in Hayward for Leon Francis Gauthier, 
73, World War 1 veteran and native of Williams, who died there November 17th. 
He has been in poor health for the last three years. Gauthier, who lived in 
Williams for many years, is survived by his son, Neil Gauthier; sisters, Mary 
Evans of Castro Valley and Josephine Thorp of Sacramento and two grandchildren, 
Lori and Sally.
