San Francisco Chronicle, March 25, 1915
"HARLAN - In Oakland, March 24, Minerva Jane Fowler Harlan of San Ramon, Contra 
Costa county, widow of the late Joel Harlan, and dearly beloved mother of 
Elisha C. and Fred F. Harlan, Mary H. Llewellyn, Helene H. Osborn and Addie H. 
Stolp, a native of Bellville, Ill., aged 82 years and 16 days.

Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral 
services Friday March 26, at 10:30 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, 
Mrs. Fred A. Stolp, 589 Vernon st., corner of Santa Rosa avenue, Oakland.  
Interment service, Oak Knoll Cemetery, Livermore, at 1:30 o'clock Friday, by 
automobile." END

(Thursday). Page 10, Column 3.  Minerva Jane Fowler was the daughter of William 
Fowler Sr. and Catherine (Speed) Fowler.  She was born in Belleville, Illinois, 
on March 8, 1833.  She married Joel Harlan (1828-1875) April 2, 1849 at Sonoma.
