He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annetta Larabee [sic], and three daughters, Mrs. Alma Nominee of Hayward, Mrs. Elsie Straight of Concord, and Mrs. Sarah Brendel of Sacramento. He was born in San Ramon [in Contra Costa County]. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the California columbarium. Labaree Paid Final Honors Many sorrowing friends of the late Milton S. Labaree, who died at his home on Castro Valley boulevard Thursday, attended funeral services for him this afternoon at the California columbarium, in Oakland. The Pratt mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Labaree, a native of San Ramon, was a son of Dr. John Lyman Labaree, pioneer California who crossed the plains with an ox cart from Indiana in 1852, and Mrs. Sarah M. Cox Labaree. He farmed at San Ramon until 1906, when he moved to Martinez. Six years later he made his home in Berkeley, and later with a daughter, Mrs. John Nominee, in San Leandro. He came to Castrol Valley last year. Mr. Labaree was employed by the California Corrugated Culvert company for many years, retiring four years ago. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annetta G. Labaree, and their children - Mrs. Alma L. Nominee of Castro Valley, Mrs. Elsie S. Straight of Concord, and Mrs. Sarah M. Brendel of Sacramento – as well as four grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Jennie Bishop of Crockett and Dr. W[illiam] H. Labaree, Oakland dentist.” END Additional Comments: Note that there are two death related articles above.
