Sacramento Daily Union, May 6, 1872
“Pacific Coast Items.  News was received in Oakland May 4th of the death of E
[lisha] D. Llewelling [sic], two years ago a member of the Assembly from 
Alameda county.  Llewelling [sic] has resided in San Lorenzo for many years, 
and as a representative of the county he won universal respect and esteem. He 
was only 31 years of age, and at the time of his death was visiting St. Helena 
in the hope that the climate there would better his health.” END

Sacramento Daily Union, May 6, 1872 (Monday). Page 3, Column 6.  Son of John 
and Elvy Lewelling.  Buried in family plot in San Lorenzo Cemetery, San 
Lorenzo, Alameda County.
