Daily Alta California, July 27, 1884
“Miss. Lida Magill, wife of R[obert] H. Magill, General Agent of the Home 
Mutual Insurance Company, died yesterday [July 26] at her residence in Alameda 
after a long and painful illness, at the age of 43 years. Her funeral will take 
place on Monday [July 28] from her late residence on the corner of Buena Vista 
avenue and Lafayette street at 11 o'clock.” END

Daily Alta California, July 28, 1884 (Monday).  Page 8, Column 4.

“DIED.  MAGILL - In this city [sic], July 26, Lydia, wife of R. H. Magill, aged 
48 years, 5 months and 23 days. Funeral Monday, at 11 A. at., from her late 
residence, corner Buena Vista avenue and Chestnut street [in Alameda].” END
