She died yesterday [June 15] at a Berkeley hospital. For 20 years she was continuously appointed secretary of the Recreation Commission. She was a director of the Hillside Club, member of the Berkeley Women’s Club, one of the founders of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Society of California Pioneers, and a member of the San Francisco Tea Club. A native of San Francisco, she had lived here 37 years. She and her husband, Fowler Mallett, an architect, would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary today. The family home is at 2905 Pine Avenue. In addition to her widower she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Landers Jones, and one grandchild. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland. Cremation will follow.” END Additional Comments: “Oakland Tribune” (Oakland, California).
