Mrs. Mallett was the daughter of Henry Fowler, who settled in Calistoga in 1844. In 1868 he went to Napa, where he was a member of the first town council and was director of the old Napa Collegiate Institute. A native of Calistoga, Mrs. Mallett had been a resident of this area since 1908. She was an active member of the Women's Auxillary of the Society of California Pioneeers and St. Clement's Episcopal Church of Berkeley. Mrs. Mallett is survived by three children, Fowler and Holland Mallett and Mrs. Holly Mallett Wade of Berkeley, three granchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow [March 1] at the Grant D. Miller Mortuary, 2850 Telegraph Avenue, with the Rev. J. Henry Thomas of St. Clement's Episcopal Church officiating.
