Thompson, aged 86 years, 3 months, and 28 days." OBITUARY: "Death of Mrs. Julia A. Thompson The remains of Mrs. Julia A. Thompson, who died Sunday [May 15] at the Pratt Home in San Jose, were brought to Livermore Tuesday [May 17] for burial, the funeral taking place from the Methodist Church. Mrs. Thompson, who had reached the ripe old age of 86 years, was one of the early residents, having come to California in 1853, and to Livermore 20 years ago. The deceased leaves two sons, Edward and Geo. W. Huff, one grandson, Edward Brandt, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, three granddaughters, Mrs. Julia Larsen, of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Julia Alcorn and Mrs. Mattie Hartigan, of this place, and five great-grandchildren." Julia Ann Smith was the daughter of Timothy Seymour Smith and Margaret (Consalus) Smith. She first married William Huff (1800-1848)and they had two sons.
