late Letitia  Thompson Wright; father of the late [?] Wright; brother of Mrs. 
W. L. Dunlap.  A member of Sequoia Lodge No. 348, F. and A. M. and Oakland 
Commandery No. 11, K. T.; a native of Illinois.

Services Friday afternoon, July 28, 1950, at 4:15 o’clock in the Chapel of the 
Chimes, 4489 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, under auspices of Sequoia Lodge No. 349, 
F. and A. M. (Albert Brown Mortuary.)” END

“Dr. A. O. Wright

Masonic funeral rites will be held today for Dr. Alvin O[lein] Wright, 82, a 
dentist here since 1907, who died yesterday at his home, 288 Grand Avenue, 
following a short illness.

Dr. Wright received his dental training at Ann Arbor, Mich., and practiced at 
Stockton before coming to Oakland.  He had recently been given recognition by a 
dental association for 50 years of practice.

He also had received a 50-year gold Masonic emblem from Sequoia Lodge No. 349 
for his years of Masonry.  He had been a member of the lodge since 1931.

His only survivor is a sister, Mrs. W. L. Dunlap.

Services will be held at 4:15 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4489 Piedmont 
Avenue [in Oakland].” END
