Chico Man Commits Suicide by Shooting



Chico, Jan. 3. 

Despondency over ill health is believed to have been the cause leading to the 

death of George Evans, 47, who committed suicide at the home of his parents, 

Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Evans, of this city. Evans shot himself through the heart.



In addition to his parents, Evans is survived by a son, who lives in Oregon, 

and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. L. C. Hall, Miss Eva Evans and A. 

F. Evans, all of Chico, and Ed and Will Chittenden, half brothers, of 

Frenchtown.
