Arthur Martell Dies At Murphys Hospital
   Murphys, Feb. 27. - Arthur Martell, a patient at the Bret Harte Sanatorium for a
number of months, 
died Tuesday afternoon.
   He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters, Mrs. M. Stone of Copperopolis,
Mrs. Phyllis Lewis of 
Angels Camp and Donna Rae Martell of Reno; his mother, Mrs. Clara Martell of
Murphys; and four 
sisters, Mrs. Nettie Manuel of Angels Camp, Mrs. Hattie Williams of Stockton, Mrs.
Beatrice Stephens of 
Oakland and Mrs. Agnes Raber of Murphys; three brothers, George Martell of Oakland,
Walter Martell of 
Stockton and Ted Martell of Arizona, and numerous other relatives.
   The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of his mother,
Mrs. Clara 
Martell, thence to Buena Vista Cemetery, where burial took place.

Additional Comments:
Arthur Martell was my great uncle.
