John F. Craig, Sr. 
Nov. 21, 1930 - November 12, 2004



John F. Craig, Sr. (Jack Craig) 73, entered into rest on Friday, November 12, 
2004 at his home in Valley Springs, CA after a short illness. John was born on 
November 21, 1930, in Kearny, New Jersey. He served in the National Guard, 
102nd Armored Division, West Orange, New Jersey. He was well known in the tire 
retread industry, working in production, management and the layout and design 
of retread shops in New Jersey, Florida and California. His many hobbies 
included painting, photography and bird watching. He also enjoyed traveling to 
Monterey and Cambria. 
John is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Toni Craig; his sons and their 
wives, John, Jr. and Janelle Craig of Brentwood, Randy and Ruth Craig of Valley 
Springs and 6 granddaughters, Amanda and Rebecca of Valley Springs, Kayleigh, 
Karleigh and Kenady of Brentwood and Valarie of Alabama. He is also survived by 
2 loving sisters, Barbara Craig of Blue Vernon, PA and Evelyn McGoldrick and 
her husband, Richard of Lords Valley, PA.
Services will be held at the American Legion in Valley Springs.
