J. GAUTHIER The funeral of L. J. late Louis J. Gauthier, who died suddenly at his home in Williams yesterday afternoon, will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Catholic church, Williams. Mr. Gauthier, who was born at Knights Landing in 1860, was for many years a resident of this district and was well and honorably known by all with whom he came in contact. He partook of his midday meal yesterday as usual and was resting under a tree in the yard shortly afterward when his granddaughter ran in to Mrs Gauthier and stated that her grandfather was not well. Mrs Gauthier immediately sent for a doctor, but within half an hour the end came, the cause of death being ascribed to heart failure. There are four children surviving; Mrs J. P. Evans of Oakland, Mrs H. I. Thorpe of Colusa, L. F. Gauthier of Oakland and E. L. Gauthier of Klamath Falls. There is also a brother, A. J. Gauthier, at Oakland. Interment will be made in Williams cemetery and Rev. Father M. Hynes will officiate. The fun eral arrangements are in the hands of J. D. McNary & Son.
