Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in McNary-Moore Chapel for 
Mrs. Sylvia Garmire Myers, 87, who died Tuesday morning in Redwood City. A 
native of California, Mrs. Myers was born November 24, 1889. She had lived in 
Colusa County from 1930 to 1973, moving to Belmont four years ago to make her 
home with her son, Billy Mayfield. Mrs. Myers was a past president of the Native 
Daughters. Survivors include two sons, Billy Mayfield of Belmont and Rex 
Mayfield of Arizona; grandchildren, Jay Mayfield of San Bruno, Siebert Mayfield 
of El Dorado Hills and Billie Huxley of Sunnyvale, and nine great grandchildren. 
Mrs. Dolores Evans and Mrs. Marjorie Taws of Colusa are surviving nieces. Mrs. 
Myers was the mother of the late Colusa County Sheriff, Max J. Mayfield. 
Interment will be in the Colusa cemetery.
