Colusa Sun -Herald, Monday, January 6, 1964 Henry Hochstrat Rites Wednesday A requiem mass will be offered at 9 am Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for Henry Francis Hochstrat, 66, operator of a salvage yard and resident of Colusa County for 52 years, who was found dead in his bed at his home, 1360 Wilson Avenue, Sunday morning. Hochstrat, apparently the victim of a heart seizure died in his sleep some time Saturday night, the coroner's office said. A native of Colusa County born December 28, 1897, Hochstrat spent most of his life here with the exception of 14 years residence in Sutter county where he farmed, raised sheep and engaged in the warehousing business. He returned to Colusa in 1937 and had operated a salvage business here since. Hochstrat was a member of the Catholic Church and is survived by four children, Mrs. Dolores Foster of Colusa, Francis Hochstrat of Elk Grove, Mrs Margaret Green of Sacramento and Mrs Dorothy Kitchell of Drytown, Amador County; sisters, Mrs Mary Lamb and Bernadette Hochstrat, both of Oaklan d; brothers, Joseph and Arthur Hochstrat, Both of Colusa and 17 grandchildren. There will be a rosary at 8 o'clock tomorrow night in Sullivan Chapel. Burial in Colusa Catholic Cemetery will follow the services Wednesday with McNary Moore directing.
