Colusa Sun Herald Monday, August 03, 1964 Jim Lawrence Dies, Rites Set Requiem mass will be conducted at 9 am Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church here for James Earl Lawrence, 76, of Colusa, who died last night in Colusa Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Lawrence was born July 7, 1888 in San Francisco. He taught school in Grimes, Sierra City and Westwood before moving to San Francisco, where he was a mail carrier for 27 years until ill health forced his retirement. He had made a home in Colusa with his sister, Mrs Louis Highstreet, for the past 16 years. He was a member of Rincon Parlor No. 72, Native Sons of San Francisco. In addition to his sister, he is survived by a brother, John Lawrence of Westwood; two nieces, Mrs Marian Gerber of San Francisco and Mrs Dorothy Livermore of Colusa and six grandnieces. Interment will be in the Colusa Catholic Cemetery under the direction of McNary- Moore. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tomorrow night in Sullivan Chapel.
