Slocum & Co., Publishers (1882) PATRICIO CASTRO.—This representative of the old Spanish families of California is the son of Victor and Louisa (Martinez) Castro, and was born in Contra Costa county, March 17, 1843. He resided with his father until he reached twenty-five years of age, when he moved to his present residence, five miles south of San Pablo, where he has one hundred acres of land. Mr. Castro claims to be the oldest child now living born in Contra Costa county. He married, October 9, 1875, Harriet, daughter of John M. and Josephine (Toomey) O'Neil, of Stanislaus county, California, and has: Pacheco, born July 24, 1876; Leo Henry, born July 18, 1879; Jovita Maria, born June 11, 1881.
