M. Draper Dies at Home Here Mrs. Florence May Draper [nee Livermore], Fresno county pioneer, who had lived in Richmond for the past three years, died last night in her home at 234 Eleventh street at the age of 75 years. She was a native of Fredericksburg, [Chickasaw county] Iowa. For the past 67 years she had lived in California, coming to this state on one of the first steam trains to make the trip. Fifty-nine years ago she was married in Kingsburg, Fresno county, to Frank A. Draper [Francisco Americus Draper]. At the time there was only one house in Fresno. Draper had crossed the plains with the Donner party. [probably not correct] Besides her husband, the deceased is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Blair [Florence Elizabeth Draper married James Arthur Blair] of Richmond; three brothers, John W. and W[illiam] B. [Livermore of Fresno, and M[erton] C [Clifton] Livermore of Lancaster, and one granddaughter, Mrs. Pauline Nix, of Fresno. Mrs. Draper was the mother of the late C[layton] F[rancis] Draper of Richmond and a sister of the late Mrs. Belle Kratzer [Clark Crone Kratzer] of Richmond. The body will be shipped to Kingsburg tonight. Services will be held there Wednesday and burial will take place at Kingsburg cemetery. The Wilson and Kratzer chapel was in charge of arrangements."
