Contra Costa Semi-Weekly Gazette, April 15, 1891
"HENRY L. HARLAN.  A member of one of the oldest and most esteemed pioneer 
families in the county has been taken in the prime of early manhood.  Henry L
[eo] Harlan died in San Ramon on Saturday [April 11] last at the age of 28 
years.  Deceased was a son of the late Joel Harlan, and was living with his 
widowed mother at the time of his death.  Funeral services were held at the 
family home, Rev. C. N. Burgess officating, and the remains were laid to rest 
in the [Oak Knoll] cemetery at Livermore." END
