She was born October 12, 1913 and raised in the vicinity of Marietta, Oklahoma. She relocated to California in 1948 where she found work welding ships and later owned and operated her own café. Besides being a constant beacon of Christian faith to her family, she was a longtime member of the Church of God in Oakley, CA and enjoyed many years of baking, quilting, playing bingo, spending time with family, talking on the phone, and watching television game shows. Ora was preceded in death by her husband Amos Norris, and daughter Gay Holland, of Conway, Arkansas. She is survived by her son, Joe Norris of Carlotta, CA, three daughters and their husbands: Ann and Don Boltzen of Carlotta, CA; Myrna and Jim Payton of Jerome, ID; Ernestine Garcia of Brentwood, CA; Jerry Holland of Grass Valley, CA; grandchildren Todd and Desarae Roark of Conway, AR; Wade Paslay of Orlando, FL; Elvis and Mickey Paslay of Wilburn, AR; Devina and Ray Michael of Carlotta, CA; Ethan Paslay of Medford, OR; Doug Paslay of Oakland, CA; Devonna and Jorge Nunes of Oakley, CA; Davin and Krissy Garcia of Antioch, CA; Kevin and Kari Garcia of Brentwood, CA; JoAnn Holland of Grass Valley, CA; Paula and Reb Moss of Boise, ID; Sonya and Patrick Nutsch of Lewiston, ID; Matthew, Andrew, and Joshua of Jerome, ID and twenty five great grandchildren! Grandma Ora will be so greatly missed and her love, spirit, and Christian faith not soon forgotten. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Brentwood, CA later this week.
