Del Norte (California) Triplicate, Friday, 18 April 1933, p. 1, c. 6
David Ball, well known resident of Del Norte county for many years, passed 
away at his home on the Radio Road Tuesday, August 15, as the result of old 
age, and illness attendant with his condition, being 71 years of age at the 
time of his death. The funeral will be held from the Roeder funeral home on 
Friday (this) afternoon, at 2:30 o’clock, and a large attendance of friends 
and relatives are expected to pay their last respects. Mr. Ball had resided in 
Del Norte county for more than half his life and for several years conducted 
the Ball Cash Grocery on Pacific Avenue, which he recently disposed of, and 
has since been more or less confined to his home on account of illness. He is 
survived by two sons, Henry C. Ball and Harry D. Ball of Humboldt county; two 
brothers Robert Ball of Kelso, Wn., and Edmond Ball of Arcata. Mr. Ball was 
also the grandfather of Mrs. Ina Brunk and Elsie Wagner, both of this city.
