Death of Mrs. A. A. Bliss

The death of Mrs. Sarah Jane Bliss occurred in this city Friday morning, Nov.
28th, following a general breakdown, induced by a severe cold taken about three
weeks ago.

Mrs. Bliss was a native of Canada, aged 70 years, 5 months and 27 days.  She was
married in Wisconsin, in 1864 to A.A. Bliss, and came to California with him in
1876, locating in Placerville, where they have since resided, thirty-seven
years.  Deceases is survived by a husband and six children to mourn the loss of
a devoted wife and mother.  Two daughters, Mrs. Annie Simas and Susie Bliss, who
reside here, and four sons, Stephen, of Oakland; Albert of Sacramento, and Will
and Frank Bliss of Placerville.

The funeral will take place Sunday from the home on Sacramento street at 2
o'clock p.m. and will be private.  Services ba (sic) Rev. E. E. Clark."

Daughter of Mark and Susannah Walters, married Augustus Alphonse Bliss in Grant
County, Wisconsin
