Douglas A requiem mass for Earl Walter Douglas, 68, a former Fresno resident, will be recited tomorrow at 10 AM in St. John's Cathedral. Douglas died Thursday in his home in Santa Maria, Santa Barbara County. He moved to Santa Maria in 1962 following the death of his wife. Born in Coalinga, Douglas had lived in Fresno for 40 years before moving to the coast city. He retired in 1962 after serving 20 years as a custodian at the Fresno State College. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Martin, 90, of Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo County; a son, Robert Earl Douglas of Santa Maria, and three grandchildren. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
