Feb 13 - For the last quarter century closely connected with the legal and musical life of Selma, Emanuel S. Reichard, 70 died Sunday in a Fresno sanitarium. He had been a lawyer and music teacher here and had organized the first band in Selma. Reichard was a native of Pennsylvania. He came to California thirty-nine years ago. Surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Ella Myers of Fresno, and a niece, Mrs. J. R. Taylor of Selma. Funeral services are to be held to-morrow at 2:30 P.M. from the J. L. Robinson Funeral Home, with Rev. E. A. Griffith of the United Brethren church officiating. Interment will be in the North Selma Cemetery.
