It has a large and thriving business community, who derive a large trade from the rich and fertile district in which Rohnerville is located. There are many fine farms and orchards in the neighborhood of the town. The Herald is a bright newsy journal, published here by Mr. Chas. E. Gordon. The Ninth District Agricultural Fair Association holds its annual meetings and exhibits at Rohnerville, it has fine grounds, pavilion and race-course. The Eel River and Eureka Railroad is about one mile from the town. Besides fanning, there are fine timber lands in this section, and a saw mill is located here. The town derives its name from Mr. Henry Rohner, a pioneer of the county.
