Danny was born Feb 21, 1945, in Scotia and was a descendant of the pioneer families of Fales and Stapp. he was a very quiet, private person who continuously gave of himself with great generosity. he worked hard at chosen profession, having the freedom to be outside. he loved his work, deer hunting with his sons and friends was also one of his great joys, but his greatest love was rodeo. Any rodeo, anywhere, anytime. As a participant, as a bystander, as a coach or as helper, Dan was there...with coffee in hand. Dan leaves behind "my friend, my lover, my heart and my soul," his wife of 29 years, Diane Fales; his best friends in work and in play, his sons, Jody Fales of Eureka and Cory and his wife Kara Fales of Eureka and upcoming first grandchild.. a little girl; his brother, William and wife Susan Fales of Ferndale and their children, Barbara Fales and her daughters, Rachael of Eureka and Tricia Fales of Ferndale; uncle to Tuesday and her husband Jeff Peterson and their son, Ridge of Redding; Polly and husband Paul and their sons, Justin and Ben of Alderpoint; his aunts and uncles, Boy and Betty Stapp, Owen and Glenda Stapp, Bella Stapp, Merlynn Schroeder, Martin Stapp and Muriel McPhillips, Ione Lendahl, Dave Fales, Arthur Fales and Irene Giuletti. He also leaves his mother in law, Glendine Switzer of Washington; sisters in law and brothers in law, Colleen and Dave Taylor of Washington and their children, Ken Taylor, Joe Taylor, Sandy and husband, Chris Spring; Scott and Sharon Taylor and their son, Blake, all of Washington; Linda and Bob Rutherford of California; Maxine Miller and Mike and his daughter, Nicole of California. Addition to his family Dan leaves behind his "other son, Joe" and his ever patient and loving travel partner, "Baby Dog". His dearest and closest friends may not be mentioned here, but are held very near to the hearts of his family. Dan touched the lives of so many people with his kind, quiet manner. We will miss you so much. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marion Fales; his sisters, Marvis and Penny; and by his grandparents, Oscar and Dee Stapp and George and Marion Fales.
