Elliott of the Island to Mrs. Charles R. Staffer, Episcopal Church, Ferndale.. August 23rd... (August 11, 1899) In the presence of a large number of friends of the contracting parties, a pretty wedding ceremony was witnessed at 10 o'clock a.m. Wednesday, August 23rd, in St. Mary's Episcopal Chapel, on Shaw Avenue, Rev. W.P. Grant of the Ferndale M.E. Church, officiating and adopting the marriage service of the Episcopal Church...The bride, Miss Halcyon Hortense Elliott...the groom, Mr. Chas R. Shaffer...of Merced.(August 25, 1899) Last Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm a very pretty wedding took place in the Episcopal church on Shaw Avenue...united in marriage Mr. J.S. Meller of Fortuna and Miss Margaret Williams, second daughter of Mrs. Robert Williams.(December 12, 1899) One of the most notable events we have had the pleasure to chronicle for some time is the marriage of Miss Tecie Ray Baker of Grizzly Bluff, to Dr. Charles Falk of Eureka, which was solemnized at the Ferndale Episcopal Church...yesterday at high noon.(June 15, 1900) A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's Chapel on Shaw Avenue, Ferndale, last Thursday evening, when Rev. Mitchell spoke the binding words that united in marriage Mr. Henry C. Samuels and Miss Etta May Buttle, both of this section.(October 30, 1900) A very neat and attractive wedding, which was witnessed by friends and relatives took place at St. Mary's Chapel, Ferndale, last Tuesday evening, at about 8:15 o'clock, whereby Mr. Harry Walford, of Grizzly Bluff and Miss Minnie Kistner, of lower Cannibal Island, were pronounced man and wife... (September 10, 1901) In St. Mary's Chapel on Shaw Avenue on Saturday, October 25th, at 11 o'clock a.m., Miss Alice Millicent Fulmore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Fulmore, of the Island, was untied in marriage to Mr. Adolph Ordway of Central House, Butte County, CA.(October 28, 1902) Sunday at high noon, in the Ferndale Episcopal Church, Rev. A.L. Mitchell united in marriage Mr. Eustace J. Craig, a stockman of the Fort Baker section, and Miss Roberta Fulghum, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Fulghum of the Island.(July 5, 1904) St. Mary's Chapel, Ferndale, was filled to overflowing last Tuesday at high noon to witness the nuptials of John W. McClellan of the Bridgeville section and Miss Lucie Michel of this place. (September 15, 1905) Ferndale Episcopal Church...Mr. Robert smith and Miss Bertha Seviers, groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Smith of North Ferndale.(December 8, 1905) Last Saturday morning at ten o'clock...united in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Walter C. Reishus and Miss M. Cora Hindley. The ceremony took place in St. Mary's Chapel, Ferndale.(February 11, 1908) Marriage...Beatrice Faulkner and Jonathan C. Albee of Dyerville...St. Mary's Episcopal Church of this town, Rev. Hitchcock officiating...take up their residence near Dyerville.(December 24, 1909) Last Saturday evening, in St. Mary's Episcopal church, Ferndale, Rev. A.W. Bell spoke the words which united in marriage Ivan Sapp and Miss Katherine Kistner, both of Ferndale. (August 12, 1913) Last Sunday at St. Mary's Church, Ferndale, Percy Jordan Bryan of Eureka and Miss Ella Ericksen of Arcata were united in marriage.(May 19, 1914) Last Wednesday morning in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Ferndale, Rev. A.W. Bell officiated at the ceremony which united in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Thomas Kent Fulmor and Miss Minnie Prust.(June 19, 1914) Last Sunday at 12:30 o'clock, in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Ferndale, the happy ceremony was performed which united in marriage John Leroy Gill, of Newman and Miss Florence Olive Fulmor, of the Island.(October 3, 1916) One of the most beautiful weddings of the season was solemnized Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Saint Mary=s Episcopal Church in this town when Miss Ellen Hartley became the bride of Dr. William Knorp of Burlingame.(8/16/29)
