Tucker tuckarb701@bellsouth.net March 8, 2007, 4:34 pm Imperial Valley Press SCHRIVER DAVIS Graveside services for Schriver "Doc" Davis, 95, of Holtville, are scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday July 14, 1995 in Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro,CA. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday July 13, 1995 in Hems Bros. Mortuary chapel in El Centro. Mr. Davis died Tuesday July 11, 1995 in Valley Convalescent Hospital in El Centro. He was born July 29, 1899 in Llano County, Texas. He came to California in 1934, settling in Holtville and then El Centro. He last resided in Valley Inn in Holtville but was moved to Valley Convalescent Hospital. He was a retired police officer and worked for the Holtville, Imperial and El Centro police departments. He retired from ECPD in 1954 and worked for Judge Hugh Keaning. He was preceded in death by his son, Hudson Davis. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Donna Davis of El Centro; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Floyd and Georgia Portwood of Seeley; Stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Juanita and Eamon Mann of Yuma,AZ; brother, Wilbur Baugh of Merced,CA; sister, Ada Kehley of Brownwood, Texas; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
