This Endenture, Made the Twenty-second day of December one thousand nine hundred and fourteen Between Elizabeth Meacham, Widow, of Bishop County of Inyo, State of California the party of the first part, and William A. Compton and Luella Compton, husband and wife, of the same place, the parties of the second part, Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, in consideration of the sum of Twelve Thousand Dollars, Gold coin of the United States of America, to her in paid , by the parties of the second part, the receipt whereof if hereby acknowledge, does by these presents, grant, bargain and sell, unto the said parties of the second part, and to their heirs and assigns, forever; all that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate in the County of Inyo, State of California, and bounded and described as follows, to wit: The East half of the North-west quarter, and the south- west quarter of the North-east quarter of section Nine (9), Township Seven (7) South, Range Thirty-Three (33) East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, containing One Hundred and Twenty accres. Together with rights in Bishop Creek and all other water and water-rights ditch and ditch-rights unto said land belonging or thereunto appertaining. Together with the tenaments , hereditaments and appurterances there unto belonging, or appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. To Have and to Hold, the said premises, together with appurtenances, unto the said parties of the second part, and to their heirs and assigns forever In Witness Thereof, the part of the first part, has hereunto set her hand the day and year first above written.
