                         OBITUARY NOTICES

Brunton, Ollie May -- Funeral services for Ollie May Brunton, 63, who died October 7 at a local
hospital, will be held October 10 at 10 a.m. at Payne & Son Chapel, the Reverend Kenneth
Fenwick officiating.  Interment will be Union Cemetery. Mrs. Brunton was a member of
Sunshine Church in Oildale and belonged to Order of Eastern Star in Tulsa, Okla.  She is
survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thelma McLucas, Taft; a sister, Rebecca White, Tulsa, Okla.;
brothers, Harvey Farley, Coke Farley, Arthur Farley, Henry Farley, all of Oklahoma; Robert L.
Farley, Oildale, and two grandchildren.

ERNEST, EVALINE -- Funeral services for Evaline Ernest, 78, who died October 7 at a local
hospital, will be held October 10 at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Ballard, the Reverend J.
Willhart officiating.  Hopson Mortuary will conduct the services.  Surviving Mrs. Ernest are her
sons, Archie V. Cline, San Luis Obispo; Charlie Cline, Santa Maria; a daughter, Mrs. Nevil
Saladin, Colusa.

HENDERSON, DAVID -- Funeral services for David Henderson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Henderson, 707 Twentieth street, who died October 8 at a local hospital, were held
October 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Hopson Mortuary, the Reverend M. A. Johns officiating.  Interment
was in Union Cemetery.  Surviving the child, besides his parents, are a brother, George Morris
Henderson, Bakersfield; grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Stone, Bakersfield; a grandfather, in
Oklahoma.

JOHNS, FRED E. -- Graveside services for Fred E. Johns, infant son of  Mr. and Mrs. King 
Johns, 517 Lakeview street, who died October 5 at a local hospital, were held October 7 at 4 p.m.
at Union Cemetery.  Payne & Son Chapel had charge of arrangements.

FOUST, CLARENCE LE ROY -- Funeral services for Clarence Le Roy Foust, 53, who died
October 7 at a local hospital, will be held in Rodgers, Ark., where the body will be sent by
Hopson Mortuary.  Surviving Mr. Foust are his widow, Mrs. Maude Foust, Rodgers, Ark.; sons,
Marion Foust,  Neil Foust, Elmo Foust and Otto Foust, all of Arkansas; a daughter, Mrs. A.B.
Long, Los Angeles; his mother in Arkansas; brothers, Joyce Foust, Gault; Keith Faust, Missouri;
sisters, Mrs. D. McKinnon, Mrs. Rurrel Sigmon, Mrs. Roy Scott, Miss Faye Foust and one other
sister, all of Arkansas.

ROJAS, PHILIP JOHN -- Funeral services for Philip John Rojas, 78, who died October 7 at his
home, rear of 1825 Brundage Lane, will be held in Napa, where the body is being sent by Payne
& Son Chapel.  Surviving Mr. Rojas are a sister, Mrs. R. Kessler, Napa, and one niece, in Napa.
