Mattie Belle Adams

Services: Thurs., April 7, 3:00 p.m.

Mattie Belle Adams of Bakersfield, wife of the late Lonzo Adams was born on 
October 12, 1924. She departed this life on Sunday, April 3, 2005. 

Mattie was a clerk for Smiths Foods for over 30 years down in Southern 
California. She was a devoted wife and mother.She was a resident of Wofford 
Heights and Bakersfield forabout 20 years.She enjoyed spending time reading to 
children in her daughter's fourth grade classroom at Harris School in 
Bakersfield. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to mourn; daughter, Beverly Jean Adams; son, Lonnie Lee Adams; 
grandson, Brian Roth, his wife Cielo Roth-Calderon and future great-
grandchild; three brothers, Gene, Robert, and Leroid Winder; sister, Virginia 
Pederson; along with a host of dear relatives and friends.

The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimers 
Foundation in Mattie Adams' name would be greatly welcomed.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7th, from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. 
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., at the Bakersfield Family Funeral 
Directors, 701 34th St, Bakersfield.
