Adamson, Iona    
 
A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Iona Adamson, 
age 87, on Monday, March 27, 2006, at 11a.m., at Shafter Memorial Park. 
Visitation will be held of Sunday, March 26, 2006, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday, 
March 27, 2006, from 9-10 a.m., at Peters Funeral Home, in Shafter, CA. Iona 
was born October 13, 1918, in Wortham, Texas, to Noah and Winnie Praytor. She 
passed away peacefully on March 11, 2006, in Bellingham, WA. Iona was a long 
time resident of Shafter. She married Williams S. (Bill) Adamson in 1968, 
which brought great love and joy back into her life. Iona was a devoted mother 
and grandmother with many interests, including traveling, cooking, reading, 
and crocheting. She was an active member of AARP in Shafter for many years. 
Iona was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1990. She is survived by 
her four children and their families, Bruce and Sandra Epp of Bakersfield; 
Patricia (Harding) Reynolds of Los Angeles, CA; Wanda (Harding) Holt of Lacy, 
WA; Alvin and Joni Epp of Bellingham, WA; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-
grandchildren, and 3 great- great-grandchildren. Donations may be made in 
Iona's name to: Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 800 East Chestnut, Ste. 1-C, 
Bellingham, WA. 98225.
